The apartment is located in Bochum Wiemelhausen, five minutes walking distance to the subway, and only a few minutes by subway or bike from Ruhr-University Bochum (RUB) or Bochum city centre. It is thus ideally suited for international researchers, visiting RUB, Bochum’s other research facilities, universities of Dortmund (less than 30 min) or Duisburg/Essen (~ 40 min).

Located on the ground-floor of a charming 100-year old building, this modern Scandinavian-style furnished non-smoking apartment (48 m²) was renovated in 2022. It features a cosy living-room with sofa, sideboard and flat-screen TV, a bright kitchen with dining area, a comfortable bedroom with home office desk, and a spacious bathroom.
Fair Rent
Rent: 830 €/ 900 € /month
(one/two persons)
Rental price includes ancillary costs as water, heating, internet. Media license fee (18,36 €/ month) and electricity are not included. A one-time deposit of 800 € is requested, which is subject to refund. The cost for final cleaning is 120 €.

Rental Period and Conditions
The apartment is available for intermediate-term stays of at least six months (max. one year). Please contact us for exceptions. This is a non-smoking apartment. Pets are not permitted.
Environment
The apartment is located in a very quiet and green residential area of Bochum Wiemelhausen in a dead-end street. Cafés, supermarkets, shopping district, cinemas, bars and the famous Bochum theatre are all within walking distance.
Equipment
The apartment is fully-equipped. The kitchen provides fridge, oven, stove, dishes and a dishwasher. The bedroom (bed 1.4 x 2 m) includes bed linen. The bathroom is equipped with toilet, shower, and bathtub (towels are included). A private washing machine and a bike are available.
Caring Hosts
We live in the same building and speak English. Working at the university we are familiar with research and teaching at RUB and will take care to make your scholarly stay as comfortable as possible.
